A nice village local that is clearly popular with a mix of generations. We sat in the small public bar at the front. There is a much larger lounge/dining area and there is a large garden which play equipment beyond the car park at the rear.
The 3 handpulls had much more adventurous ales than we'd seen in our previous 5 pubs. They were Black Hole Bitter, Nottingham Epperstone Pale Ale & Lincoln Green Marion. I'm surprised that the pub hasn't made the Good Beer Guide since 2007.
Worth a visit.
