The Norland is a Sizzling Pub outlet found to the East of Hessle on Hull Road. Very reasonably priced food is heavily advertised so it will not be a surprise to hear that there is ample parking available. Al fresco drinking can be had at picnic tables located at the front of the pub. There are also advertisements for the weekly Monday evening quiz and cheap deals on food that occur throughout the week. I also spotted an advertisement for live music.
The extensive L shaped interior houses plenty of seating and plasma screens for airing Sky Sports. There was no sport of note being played during my visit on Wednesday afternoon last week so the screens were trumped by some background music. In the left rear of the pub is a separate ‘public bar’ area that houses a pool table and dartboard.
A range of standard keg products were available from the bar that was tended by a friendly barman. Greene King IPA and Wells’ Bombardier were also available, but the Sharp’s Doom bar was off.
This is not the most characterful pub I have drunk in, but I would have no problem popping back in if passing.

A large pub on the edge of Hessle. This pub has a garden at the front ideal for the warm weather there were two real ales Timothy Taylor landlord which was very drinkable and at £2.00 a pint was a bargain the other beer was Bombadier, it was very pleasant sitting outside watching the world go by
