Quinno _ left this review about The White Swan Inn

Having ended-up overnighting in Llanon as part of the Wales Coast Path trek, I was slightly surprised (and a bit apprehensive) about reappearing here after finding out they now did food. Happily, this Swan is under new ownership and has undergone a major refurb which has revealed / added extra rooms which have been used for dining (and pretty decent pub grub it was too, my Welsh beef madras was very good and probably the best dinner in Llanon – not that there’s too much competition, but still). Two ales on the go from the love/hate Felinfoel Brewery. The Double Dragon was in super shape and is the best example of beer I’ve had from them. The Bitter was a tinny/metallic tasting mess but I suspect this was the brewery's fault rather than the pubs. There was also a Gwent y Ddraig Scrumpy on handpump. Very busy for a Wednesday and deservedly so. A proper turnaround job is this, well done to the new owners.

Funny little pub with a bit of character. No real ale, not particularly great keg. Some of the patrons on my latest visit left a bit to be desired, commenting loudly on the sexual attractiveness of some female incomers. Rated 4
