As described below with photos aplenty on their website, this is a decent example of old meets new, with features such as a slate bar top with white ceramic tiled and scaffold ‘Shoreditch’ bar back. There was an unattractive games machine, conventional furniture and some exposed roughhewn beams, all contributing to a cosy cocoon. There’s food, but I wouldn’t call this a gastropub, certainly not when compared to the Church Inn or Charlton. Customers were definitely on the older side, one couple playing a board game but all making for a good atmosphere, well attended for a Tuesday evening.
Cask offerings amounted to Butty Bach, Hobsons Best and Ludlow’s Blonde and Gold at £2.15 a half and very nice, served by a friendly barman.
This isn’t a half bad place, a damn site better than the neighbouring historic pubs with their all fur coat and no knickers half-timbered frontages with little or nothing to offer behind.

Pub with an L shaped interior with the restaurant area down a few steps to the lower level. To be honest at 1 p.m. on a Monday lunchtime the upstairs "drinking" area was full of diners as well. Two of the handpumps were on and my pint of Butty Bach was in good nick. There was nowhere left to sit and standing at the bar just meant that I was getting in the way, so I went out to the partially covered beer garden. This is a huge space with 3 distinct areas, two of them covered, which was a blessing as it started to rain. It was warm, so I stayed outside to drink my pint. A bit on the foody side for me, but it was pleasant enough as were the staff and the beer.

A well established pub serving well kept locales. The interior is modern and in keeping with the building and the staff are friendly and upbeat. Four handpumps serving Butty Bach, HPA, Hobsons Best and Ludlow Gold. We went for the Hodsons and Ludlow Gold, both of which were in excellent condition and were some of the best beers on the day. The prices in here were also very reasonable.

A pleasant enough pub. An L-shaped bar with a variety of areas to sit. There were 4 real ales to choose from and beers were, as usual on my Ludlow visit, from Wye Valley and Ludlow. Worth a visit.

Very modernised inside and very restauranty in atmosphere. It has four pumps in the front more bar like area, Ludlow, Hobsons and a lovely drop of Butty Bach were on sale. The rear section is more of a restaurant area. Furnished with laminate pine tables and chairs plus some short pews and leather sofas, there is a fruit machine as well. Local Camra like it as it's been in the GBG for a good number of years. Basement toilets with an interesting open door design.

An end terraced Victorian brick build that has been partly given a modern makeover with cream and new signage to create The Queen's Pub and Cafe Bar.There is a rear beer garden. The inside is generally an L-shape with a dining area at one end and a sofa area at the other. The decor is brick, cream and red, with a wood floor. There are a few settles and some nice wood furniture, as well as a little fireplace. Some arty photographs are on the walls as well as a few vases dotted about. The TV wasn't on and there was no music. The service was fine and the clientele mature, and local. Beer; usual tap stuff with Peroni. There are four handpulls which had Hobson's Best, Ludlow Best, Ludlow Gold and Wye Valley Butty Back, which was very good. Not as modern a feel as I feared - definitely worth a visit.
