Having read Rob’s review before my visit to Stockport I made a point of walking past the Comfortable Gill on my way from the Crown to Ye Olde Vic. Unfortunately when I left Ye Olde Vic I turned left rather than right and ended up back at this godforsaken place. Thinking that the beer gods must want me to visit I walked into a dimly lit pub where two customers and the barman were sat at the U-shaped bar watching the Depp v Heard trial on Court TV at great volume. The barman begrudgingly left his pals to serve me half of some generic keg which I supped on whilst taking in the delights of my surroundings. Down the centre of the right hand bar was a row of high patio furniture, yes we are still inside. To the left along the front windows is some banquette seating and in the middle of the left wall is a DJ booth that faces lots of standing room. At the rear is a room with a pool table and a second TV in the bar area was showing the images from multiple CCTV cameras that are dotted around the premises. I'll not be returning.

This pub is on the way between The Crown and Ye Olde Vic. This was the only new pub that I "collected" during the PuG crawl of Stockport which is why I walked up here. You almost walk into the bar as you enter. There's a small area to the right of the bar which was covered in assorted store and 2 bikes. The other side has a karaoke rig and a games area where a bunch of the regulars were playing cards. It's a typical working mans boozer nicknamed "The Comfy" by the locals. There's no cask ale here, so I has a quick half of fizz and departed as karaoke was threatened for later. I very much doubt that I'll ever visit again.
