Blue Scrumpy left this review about The White Hart

Old pub at one of the High Street. It has a narrow entrance into a much wider car park. Beyond the car park is the local cricket pitch, onto which the White Hart has erected a marquee for outdoor drinking and dining undercover, with further tables without shelter.

We were the first to arrive on our midweek visit. The 3 ales are listed on a blackboard high up in the marquee. These were Thurston's Sam's Beare, Tillingbourne Dormouse & Windsor ane Eton Guardsman.

It was a little chilly out, with a cold wind blowing. But our drinks were pleasant and the price was surprisingly low for this area.

Well described in previous review. Draught ales on this occasion were Twickenham Naked Ladies, Dunsfold Best, Surrey Hills Greensand IPA and Dark Star Hophead Loral, plus the B&P Original (brewed by Phoenix, Greater Manchester), which gives a good indication of how the beer range changes in a short space of time.

Now owned by Brunning & Price so food is a large part of the agenda, but it also works very well as a pub, multi-roomed on several levels with a slightly rustic feel echoed by mounted black and white pictures of the town in days gone by,yet juxtaposed by an equal number of modern contemporary photos/art.The main front room is for drinking and casual eating, on the bar there are five handpumps, all were in use with what was an unexpectedly decent selection, the pub philosophy is to stock beers from within a 20 mile radius with the exception of their house beer Brunning & Price Bitter, the other four were Hogs Back Farnham White,Horsell Hooker,Wimbledon Copper Leaf and Big Smoke Mother Ship, both the Farnham White and Mother Ship were in the most excellent condition.I would very much be pleased to call in again.
