Steve C left this review about Prince of Wales

The Prince of Wales is a small single room boozer that felt busy with only a few locals in attendance early on Saturday afternoon. The bar supports six draught taps and two hand pumps, one of which was unused leaving Directors as the ale option. I plumped for the Guinness that was well served by the governor who thought nothing of turning the air blue a couple of times during my brief stay. I didn’t see any signs of hot food being sold, but there were some premade rolls on the bar that were being flogged for a pound. There is a dartboard on the rear wall and there are a couple of TVs for showing Sky Sports. The jukebox was playing some low back music whilst muted Formula 1 was on one of the screens.

This place seemed to be held in high regard with the loyal locals, but from an outsiders perspective I think that a lick of paint and some new furniture wouldn’t go amiss. I cannot see myself returning as there are better pubs in the area.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Prince of Wales

Very old-fashioned pub, with a rather run-down exterior that makes you wonder as you approach whether it may be closed. The Courage Best wasn't too hot, but at least the place is still serving its local community.
