Steve C left this review about Maverick

Maverick is an LGBTQ+ friendly pub with a bar that faces booth seating along the walls either side of the entrance. Behind the bar is some more seating and on the left wall is a stage which seemed to be mostly used for drag acts. Nothing was happening during a recent early midweek evening visit, although there was some music playing that seemed to louder outside than in the bar. Out the front is some seating. The service was polite and the drink selection was standard and premium keg. This isn’t my sort of place so I’ll not be returning.

Clive Thompson left this review about The Front Page (McElhatton's Bar)

Interesting old bar that dates back to the 19th Century. Being in the newspaper district it just about survived a number of bombings in the 1970’s and was remodelled in 1986. There are loads of ld Belfast photos and newspaper clippings around the place and you get a real sense of its history. It’s now a popular music and late night venue, located as it is close to the Cathedral Quarter. It’s proper name is The Front Page but is sometimes referred to as McElhatton’s Bar which is the name of the owner.
