Crewe Hero is a soulless bar that shares a building with the Upper Crust sandwich chain on platform 6 at Crewe Station. The bar on the left wall faces a mix of high tables and standard furniture. I counted eight standard mainstream keg fonts. The televisions were airing adverts, I’m not sure if these were for Upper Crust or if it was a radio station. I love a beer, but really?!! Better to drink a tinny on the platform.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Crewe Hero

Dull station bar adjacent to the Upper Crust on Platform 6. Limited amount of modern furniture around the edges plus several benches outside under the canopy. No real ale, and just a few dull offerings from the keg taps. Opted for the bottled Caledonian 80/- which came in at a whopping £4.05, even with a 20% Bite card discount.

A lot of the usual keg suspects but no real ale,the A boards outside were offering cheap deals on bottled beers to take with you on your onward journey. Not a great advert for the station,a throw back to how poor station bars were until the various "Taps" emerged.

As I stuck my head in I'll review it, won't take me long. A functional station bar situated for those interested on platform 6. No real ale, the space is shared with an Upper Crust food outlet. The bar area does meals, basic breakfast £3.99, curry and a pint is £8.95. You'd need to be in a rush although the immediate outside of Crewe station is equally depressing. Serves a purpose I suppose but no real effort expended.
