L shaped bar with basement club.Small but nice with lots of stools at the bar.Nice mellow jazz on the sound system.Friendly barmaid and a warm feel to the place although I was the only customer.Iwas here for the beer and 3 keg beers on 2 from Deviant and Dandy and one from 40FT brewery.(both local breweries).

The vibe in here has changed a lot since moby's visit,it is now principally a cocktail bar with four keg taps offering Five Points Pale Ale (not as good as cask,£3 the half ouch)Sharps Pilsner,a keg cider and a tap marked prosecco.I couldn't see many bottled beers being available, but spirits of all descriptions are here. The cocktails looked interesting but started at £8.The interior has been done well, the space is L shaped and there are wooden benches at one end,a few high tables and more trad tables and chairs.Very attractive barmaids always helps. There is a laid back feel, but as the night wore on ,I noticed that a doorman was being used. There is a basement jazz club here called Kansas Smitty's,which uses a seperate entrance.
Chic and trendy but not much for the ale fan.

An "American style" craft bar, I was drawn into this place seeing how busy it looked and hearing the sound of live music over the babble of the busy marketplace directly outside.
It's a small L shaped bar purposely basic in its appearance ,wooden floor with bench seating around the walls with a few tables and stools. There was a Bluesy rock trio playing at one end of the pub and they were pretty good. There is no cask beer here but three or four craft taps and a more extensive range of bottles, all displayed on a chalkboard without the prices marked up ,I soon found out why , it's hellishly expensive in here,I opted for a half of Weird Beard Mariana Trench, It was one of my best beers of the week but costing£3.00,I justified this to myself in that for slightly more than the cost of a supermarket sandwich I was getting an excellent beer with some very good live music for free, then I blew that excuse out of the water and decided to prolong my stay and have another Weird Beard beer, Fade to Black, this time in a bottle and was promptly relieved of a fiver.
Anyhow I really enjoyed the bohemian vibe ,the music and the beer and yes I would return here, just not stay too long.
