Benedicts of Belfast is a functioning hotel that advertises itself as a premium night-time hotspot that is open until 00:30/01:00 with live music every night. This isn’t a hotel I’ll be staying at! The bar area seems vast with split levels and lots of snugs. Unfortunately the upper levels were all roped off during my recent midweek early evening visit. There’s an island bar counter that supports standard and premium keg and food is available, the burger is priced at £13. I found the service to be friendly, as was the bouncer on the door. There was a guitar singer on the raised seating area at the rear, which would be a stage area for larger bands. There are some televisions in the left rear that were showing live football. This place is interesting so is worth a look, but it’s a bit too much for me so I wouldn’t stay for more than a pint and wouldn’t bother at all at the weekend when I bet it’s packed in here.

An attractive hotel bar that is worth a visit if you are looking to impress. Decorative in a contrived sort of way with loads of intricately carved wood furnishings. Very overprice and a little pretentious. Open until 1am most days.
