Blue Scrumpy left this review about Mad Squirrel Tap & Bottleshop

Now a wine and cocktail bar called Twisted Angel. It was very dark inside, with me grabbing a small table near the window and entrance door, partly to get a little more light and partly to enable me to make a swift exit once finishing my drink.

The room stretches back a fair way, with the bar along the right-hand side. With the focus on wine and cocktails, there are no draught beers. Although I did notice Estrela Damm in bottles.

Male bar staff were busy preparing cocktails when I arrived, whilst the all female waitresses were poised ready to take my order. I have to say that service was very efficient. Customers were mostly women and seemed to have consumed far too much wine or perhaps too many cocktails. Either way, as one of the few men in the bar, I seemed to attract a little unwanted attention!

Not a place I would return to, but enough amusement for me to score this one a 2/10.

Bucking Fastard left this review about Billy's Wine Bar

A small shop frontage gives a false impression of the size of this modern bar which has been extended to the rear. There is an island bar in the centre of the building serving the usual selection of kegged beers and lager, a large range of cocktails and as you might suspect no real ale.
There is a restaurant at the rear with checked table cloths while there is a walled patio out the back. The low ceilings create a noisy and vibrant atmosphere in the evening at what could unkindly be described as a pick up joint, but there is a wide age range of punters so you may encounter all manner of wildlife from fillies right up to cougars.
The most popular venue in Harpenden ,my excuse for visiting was as part of a works do.I had a couple of Long Beach Iced Teas comprising of vodka, gin, rum, triple sec (with sweet and sour) and cranberry juice before sloping off with my honour intact.
