Red Lion Great Chatwell has re-opened following an extensive refurbishment by the new independant owners. Now a freehouse you can find quality cask ales and traditional pub grub in a truly fantastic setting.

Food led pub in pretty village on the Shropshire / Staffordshire border , there is a large beer garden with kiddies play area . Inside there is a large dining area off the lounge (food is good and pretty cheap) the lounge itself is slightly old fashioned with white painted wood and rough plaster , a selection of old prints and advertising mirrors add a bit of decoration , the bar is adults only , a seperate room has a pool table and toys for the kids , 4 handpulls only two on with Jennings Crag Rat and Ringwood Bitter , Bankss Mild , Peroni and Stella/Fosters on keg . Its OK in here the service is decent and the beer OK , wiil call again
