Soup Dragon left this review about The Bell

A detached white rendered pub/eatery with patio

The interior has one open plan L-shaped room. The main entrance leads you into the bar/lounge area, which is in red and white, with a brick fireplace, mixed seating and arty pictures, nice prints and some sporting memorabilia on the walls. There was a TV that wasn't on. Follow the room around the bar and you get to the dining area, which looked like it was in light green walls with darker green wood panel. There was a large menu board and although i didn't eat, so i cant comment on the food, the prices seem be around the £10 average. The service was fine, the clientel a good mix of locals. The background music was mixed and at a decent level.

Beer; tap stuff with Peroni. On handpull there was a good Sharpe's Doombar, Timothy Taylor Landlord and Banks's MILD, as well as the untried Pedigree and Banks's Bitter.

All in all, this pub was a real treat, with a good choice of well kept beer and an interior that would be fine to traditionalists and modernists alike. I look forwar to returning and hopefully eating at some stage. I shall aim to sit at the Tommy table in the corner, so I can stay on me own!
