Old Boots left this review about The Crosby

Welcoming, well run, village pub, a little food oriented but not overwhelmingly so, the tables for instance are not permenantly set for eating. Named after a racehorse, the racing motif is echoed in horseshoe shaped doorways. There is one smallish bar and two front bay windowed alcoves seating about 15 in each. An old low ceilinged room with beams and an unusual fireplace the bar has three handpumps serving immaculate Timothy Taylors Landlord, Black Sheep Bitter and Deuchars plus a standard keg range of 1664, Fosters, John Smiths smooth, Guinness and Strongbow. Décor is in the country pub brassware style, especially horsebrasses. Service is attentive but not obtrusive and the food is very good.
