Jonathan Wilde left this review about Brimsham Park

Been here numerous times and is a typical 1990's built pub to serve the expanding locations and this new town beyond it's original conception.

On entry the right is the main bar area for those drinking with the more sizzling/eating side being to the left although you are perfectly welcome to sit either side, though I suspect the left is preferred for those with children or bigger parties for Sunday Lunches/Events, or alike without noticing any obvious signage to imply this.

The left side is normal tables and chairs from the one time I think I ventured that side when mate had a meal so resembles more formal seating for the expected customers.

The right side is a mixture of normal tables and hugging settee style chairs, sure they have a name but it escapes me at present but I've an office equivalent fly tipped at the bottom of my road but these are very nice as covered in nice fabric. There are a few high tables with stools/backed chairs with the TV being the focus of some of these positions although only showing Kilmarnock V's Ranges on BT Sport while Man City were on Sky and a dartboard to the left of it. There is a wrap around bench circle thing to the right of the TV.

Service was slow as everybody was seemingly serving food or replenishing cutlery on my visit today rather than tending to the bar, despite a couple just walking away from the bar on entry with drinks I appreciate everybody has to muck in in the workplace but ~5 minutes of nothing isn't the best advertisement in my view.

Once service arrived it was pleasant and swift. My issue was nobody wondering out with mains/desserts told anybody that "err there's people at the bar", when passing other employees. Maybe my age and expectation but not the best first impression today.

It does a couple of ales but as I don't drink them, unless I have to, I can't comment on what they were or how they may have tasted. My ******* was fine so suspect if they can keep the masses drinks drinkable an ale may not be within the realm of man, although I could have that notion very wrong to those with experience.

Unless Winfielding you aren't really going to end up here by choice but for food and value for money it fits it's purpose in the market and I will continue to visit when in the area.
