Average run of the mill pub close to the crossroads at St.Georges.On my Wednesday afternoon visit found 3 cask pumps on the bar although only one operational.
After reading the last review I think there must be now a change of landlord or if not would not like to see him in a miserable mood.

Dead at 5 30 on a Saturday night , the pub is a single L shaped room , the larger part of which is cluttered up with a pool table , table football , a couple of large speakers and a kareoke machine , just about halving the size of the pub . Only 2 real ales on Bankss Bitter and Mild , i had a Mild which was OK , the service was OK but the only other people there were the Landlord and a Barman who both spent the whole time F`in at the fruit machine , i wont bother again

This pub is getting rather tatty, with ripped seats patched with tape and peeling paint inside and out. There’s a dart board to the left of the bar as you enter and there was a game of dominoes going as well. No positive distinguishing features at all, unless you like f**k being used as part of every sentence and Tina Turner playing way too loud on the juke box. There were more people outside on the steps having a fag than there were inside. Has two handpumps selling Banks’s Original and bitter, I had a pint of the Original at the bargain price of £2.15. To be fair it was a much better pint than the one at The Albion earlier in the evening. It’s a bit rough and ready, but it looks to have a lot of regulars. I don’t think I’ll become one of them though.
