Originally called the Cottagers Comfort a traditional country pub with a traditional shirt , tie , waistcat and pocket watch wearing landlord , all changed now to a french style bistro/restuarant with a very good reputation for food .
The small bar area is at the front of the pub and caters for people just want a drink , usual kegs and a couple of real ales , my Hobsons Twisted Spire was fine .
There is a raised outside drinking area to the rear .
Not one for making a special journey for just for a drink (food maybe) but OK if your in the area

This country pub offers excellent food and service. I called in the afternoon to sample the Ludlow Gold beer which was fab, having seen how busy the restaurant and recommendations, I returned that eve for a very good meal. Will call again.
