Small bar located not far from Wembley stadium. The plough, rifles and Irish theme mentioned below have gone. Maybe not one for a sesh but does the job if heading to the stadium.

The plough, rifles, dartboard and colourful language as previously reported are still here (the latter being mostly from the barmaid). The two TV screens show different Sky channels which is useful. Good jukebox and overall a well-kept bar.

This small Irish shop conversion bar was busy with a mix of locals and people having a pre-gig pint before heading off to Wembley Arena so there was a good atmosphere. The barmaid was friendly enough and although no hand pumps I did enjoy a decent pint of Guinness that I picked form the range of usual suspects. I did get the feeling that a few of the locals were a bit put out with the invasion of mascara clad Kiss fans, but they were few in number.

In between the Galway flags and road signs up on the walls there are a few screens that were showing the horse racing and one bad quality screen near the front window was showing England in the 20/20 World Cup. I’m not sure whether to use this TV was a conscious decision or not! It was good to see a dartboard at the rear of the pub and there is also a fruit machine for those with too much money in their pockets.

I cannot see myself returning here.

Yet another typical and contrived Irish bar. You pretty much know what you are going to get before you walk through the door although the dazzle from the glaringly bright lights does come as quite a shock. The interior is very plain and rather monotonous with all the clean surfaces doing nothing to deflect or soak up the light. There are at least a few things that attract the attention, a couple of ploughs and even a couple of rifles hanging from the ceiling, a model boat stuck on the wall, a few candles along the ledge by the brick fireplace, lists of Hurling champions. Strangely, the 2 signed rugby shirts that I would have thought would have pride of place are relegated to the walls of the corridor to the toilets. Like most Irish theme pubs, there are no Real Ales, just the usual standard mass market kegs and lagers plus the ubiquitous Guiness. The locals tend to have an interesting line in colourful language and you will inevitably find them thronged around the bar watching the racing. Mannions warrants a visit simply because the other pubs in Wembley are so poor and that does not construe this review as a particularly worthwhile recommendation.
