Greene King pub, but not bad given some Greene King pubs are not very appealing. Pub is on two levels, limited seating space downstairs but good enough. Tends to have Sky Sports on TV.

A large two floored barn that used to be a Hogshead. Dark and dingy lower bar sports three GK mainstream ales (IPA, OSH, Abbot) and my Abbot was decent. No ale in the upper bar though the room and seating here is a lot nicer. Nauseous corporate brown décor, kiddie music and muted TV predominate. Management lax – tables were left uncleared despite being told by shift manager ours would be. If these are the standards, I wouldn’t touch the food on offer. Given that Spoons is next door, I am surprised that this place has managed to position itself at an even lower end of the market.

Greene King pub. Pretty poor really, is it trying to be a pub or a bar? And all the CCTV cameras give a rather strange feel to the place.

Formerly the Hogshead and much improved visually and in ambience but sadly the beer is still not worth dropping in for; Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen. Unfortunately I'd ordered a pint of IPA before I spotted the Strong Suffolk bottles behind the bar, definitely a missed opportunity. Loads of lagers, a couple of ciders, Guinness but no smooth, there are however lots of CCTV cameras and tellies.
