Pub on the edge of South Shropshire Hill Country , situated just off the main Shrewsbury - Ludlow road and right next to a railway crossing .
The main bar is a strange mix of modern comfy leather sofas and traditional fireplaces and wood , it does not really work , there is a modern cafe style restuarant in a modern wooden and glass area built between two older buildings with a small beer garden over the road .
Across the carpark is the pubs other buisness , a very good Mountain Bike shop and an Outdoor Shop for hikers/campers , the pub also has a campsite .
Usual keg beers and three handpulls , only two on on my visit with Wye Valley HPA and a reasonable Tunnfield Bitter .
Its a decent enough pub

Graham Coombs left this review about Station Inn

This ought to be a really good pub. Sadly it isn't, at least on the experience of my visit. Apart from someone deciding that polished floorboards and leather sofas were a good look for rural Shropshire, the beer was very off. It was changed with complete indifference (and limited benefit) by the bored bar person who was more interested in sorting out a campsite booking. Left a sour taste in the mouth in more ways than one.
