Ancient looking pub just reopened after a refurb , the older part of the pub is half timbered with a series of extensions tacked on .
The main entrance is off the carpark into a suprisingly large L shaped room , the bar is half way along on the right and a large old fireplace with a modern wood burner breaks the room up at the far end .It is food led but drinkers are more than welcome , it feels much like the nearby Sun at Welshampton in decor(i believe the owners may be involved in both pubs)
Quiet on my late afternoon mid week visit , usual keg taps and five handpulls , Four with local beers , Stonhouse Station , Salopian Oracle , Woods Shropshire Lad and furthest travelled Three Tuns XXX , the other pull was Sweeney Mountain Cider from nearby Oswestry .
This is a decent pub that will hopefully do well .

Party of 8 Pre-booked June 2016. This is a large establishment for a country pub but there were plenty of customers making the place look fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon. Food is only served from 5pm and we were there at that point. Obviously, the evening staff had not clocked-on at that point and so it took a while for us to obtain drinks at the bar (only one person serving) but we were shown out table and fairly quickly after that things got into gear.
The food was very well presented and extremely tasty. The menu is a fairly eclectic mix with a few specialty dishes and twists of the locality but everybody in the party was able to choose something and all agreed it was a very nice meal. Some had starters and some had deserts but all agreed that we would visit again if in the area.
Pub is located on the B5476 between Cotonwood and Quina Brook.

We took the in-laws for a meal to this country pub which has recently been refurbed and taken over by a new team, On entering the premises we were greeted by each member of staff and made to feel valued. We were seated by our waitress and our every whim was catered for. The food was excellent and though it may be a little more expensive than some other local hostelries it was well worth a few pennies more. We all enjoyed the experience greatly If you are near Call in , you will not be disappointed.
