Small pub popular with bikers. Two smallish rooms with much clutter gives a homely feel, while a third room up a couple of steps acts as a café.

A very good pub. Real ales available and a very good view of the Mersey Estuary. Popular with bikers so expect unnecessary noise while they spend about 10 minutes showing off before they piss off on their bikes.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tap

Small Marstons outlet at Eastham Ferry, somewhat overshadowed as a building by the adjacent hotel. However, it is perhaps more interesting as a little country pub (in what is now a quiet area, since the shipping service has long gone). Traditional furniture and decor. Nice little beer garden overlooking the River Mersey. Very popular with bikers, but a nice friendly atmosphere. Three handpumps, offering Pedigree, Hobgoblin and Oxford Gold (£2.90). Overall, worth stopping for a pint if in the area. (NB - Review dates from September 2011.)
