Soup Dragon left this review about Calf Heath Marina

The actual pub and restaurant part of the complex is a modern, low level, white rendered building with a conservatory built on the side, however it has to be seen within a wider landscape, as it has a lovely beer garden by the side of the canal and mooring area. It is a self-styled bar/restaurant that is fully open to non-canal people!

The interior is open plan but has three areas; a small bar, a lounge/dining room and a conservatory lounge/dining area. There is of course ample space to eat outside should you wish. The decor is cream and wood panel, with arty kind of pictures on the walls. I didn't eat so can't comment on the food, but having took Mrs Soup and the youngest Soup, we would like to come back and eat. The service was fine, the clientele mixed and it has been quite busy on both occasions i have been. There was a TV in the lounge, which wasn't on.

Beer; tap stuff with a decent enough M&B MILD - there was also a couple of real ale taps, one had Rev James.

A nice little place that has lovely surroundings, a real ale and a MILD - if the food is as good, i'm buying me a barge! Seriously, i think there is something for everyone here, to pass away an hour or so.
