Oggwyn Great left this review about Nickelodeon

Pub is unchanged since the last review although it is starting to look a bit tatty around the edges , fairly busy on my mid afternoon Tuesday visit , mainly with young families and their prams and pensioners eating the cheap meals .
Usual keg taps and 2 handpulls both with reversed GK IPA clips so i had a pint of Becks .
Service was friendly if a bit slow

A modern detached undressed brick pub and 2 for £10 eatery in the middle of a retail park. It does at least have a little character, rather than the funcional buildings we expect today. Situated by the canal, it has a patio and small kid's play area.

The interior is one big barn like room, a U-shape around the central serving bar - I say barn, as it does have a part barn sloped roof. The decor is in the generally familiar red, cream, chocolate, brown patterned wallpaper and undressed brick. There is an undressed brick fireplace. The interest is supplied by lots of modern vases and arty pictures, in fact i thought i was in an Ember Inn until i could'nt find the piles of chopped wood. It is family based, so there is a grabbing machine and a kid's ride thing in there as well and the clientele reflected well the target audience the place goes for. There was a silent TV on. The seating is of course all foody tables. The service was fine, the charty music at a decent level.

Beer; tap stuff with Timothy Taylor Landlord and a pretty flat Banks's Bitter on handpull.

This is a family place, but go on a nice day when you can go out the back by the canal, as the front is the retail park car park and not too exciting. I can't really see myself coming back, even with the family, as it is just so generic inside. Most of course don't care about that, or flat Banks's bitter - so for the fizz and basic grub lot, i am sure it is fine. Entertain yourselves watching the kids fight over the grabbing machine!
