Now claims to be the home of Swifty's brewpub. However the brewing kit isn't in use and there are chairs stacked in the brewhouse. Dave Porter who installed the brewery told me that he hadn't attended his brewing course, so who know what is going on there. There were 2 beers from Liverpool Organic on the bar and both were a good pint. It's a decent little pub, but it's not a brewpub at the moment.

The interior is as described by Soupy, but there have been a few changes on the beer front and even more to come. They were showcasing Bank Top beers when we called and there was a choice of 4, the pint I had was in good condition as well. The big news is that they have had a brewery installed in the room near the outside patio, it looks like a Dave Porter installation to me. Brewing is due to start any time soon, so best of luck guys. We'll call in again next time to see what they're brewing.

Another former brick warehouse on the canal turned over to be a pub, this one has a beer patio

The interior is modern, like a bistro, in red/white and brick, with a wood floor. It has mainly tables and chairs, but the old easy chairs and pouffes do make an appearence. The decoration is, how does one define it, semi-arty type pictures, mirrors and jugs and pots - as modern interiors go, i could cope with it - even the lift in the corner. Service was very good, in that we were offered samples - but pointless, as there was only one drink i would have had. Clientele consisted of us.

Beer; tap stuff and the potential of 5 real ales, which is why we went, but alas, 3 were not on, leaving us with a choice of Spitfire (no way) and house pale ale - which was ok to be fair.

I would go again for the potential beer choice, but if i was offered the same, i wouldn't go again
