The Dragonfly is a large town centre pub with lots of distractions such as a dance floor with DJ booth, pool, darts, beer pong and live sports, all designed to keep the cash rich yoof of Bolton entertained for as long as possible. The bar counter along the rear wall supports standard keg alongside Madri and Heineken. Half a Fosters set me back £1. The seating up the right hand side of the pub is actually very comfortable and looks like it has been recently refurbished. On the flip side, the toilets are an absolute disgrace. I walked past the cubicle and could see actual mushrooms growing en masse behind the toilet bowl. They can’t have been cleaned for many many months. The state of a pub’s toilets are indicative of the cleanliness throughout the rest of the pub, so I’ll not be visiting here again and I'm knocking three points off for the fungus.

From the outside this looks like a traditional pub, but once inside it's a deceptively large drinking barn. There's a well used pool table and loads of TV screens around the pub. Lots of different areas including a dancefoor with a DJ rig, so I'm guessing it gets lively later on. 3 handpumps on the bar selling a couple of Robinsons beers and a guest which I failed to note down. My pint of Robinsons Red Jester was in good nick and cheap enough at £2.20. There's supposed to be a 10% CAMRA discount, but the barstaff seemed a bit surprised to be shown a CAMRA card and didn't seem to know what to do, so I didn't actually get the discount. That's 22p you owe me guys. :-)) It was actually OK in here at about 6 on a Friday evening, but I bet it's hell later.
