Tris C left this review about Davy's at St James's

Certainly not a pub, this is a subterranean wine bar, atmospheric with a flagstone floor and lots of dark wood.
Just the one ale on, Davy's Old Wallop and not sampled.
Not my thing so I doubt I'll return except for some do.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Davy's at St James's

Typical Davy's 'olde worlde' cellar bar, but quite hard to find because the entrance is rather hidden under an archway crossing a narrow alley. Once down the stairs, you find various seating areas and rooms around the bar (some set aside for dining). Full of wine trade memorabilia. As usual, just Old Wallop (£3.90), normally served in a pewter tankard (if you like that kind of thing), from the two pairs of handpumps.
