Steve C left this review about The Mossley Tavern

The Mossley Tavern is a local’s boozer and darts emporium with around five boards in the right-hand side that is shared with a pool table. Playing all at once would create a bloodbath, so I imagine the boards are for competition days. Five dartboards isn’t enough so there’s another in the bar area to the left where the serving counter sits centrally on the rear wall. Standard keg and Madri were available. Televisions are found throughout for airing live football, there was nothing going on during my recent Sunday evening visit so some background music played. It was a lot more sedate in here compared to the town centre pubs, it’s just a shame there’s no real ale.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Mossley Tavern

End-of-terrace almost canal-side pub of some age, although the opened-out 'U'-shaped interior has been comprehensively refurbished at some stage. That said, it has a good community feel and was busy on a dismally wet evening, and both staff and regulars were friendly enough. No real ale, unfortunately, but the keg choice included Theakston Traditional Mild (£2.30) and Caffrey's in addition to the John Smith's.

The Mossley Tavern is situated to the south of Rugeleys town centre.
Once inside there is an L shaped room with the bar facing, there is comfy bench seating to the front and left, the pool table is to the rear right, there was a large screen to the right which was showing the QPR v Spurs game, the room is carpeted, there is a darts board to the left.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bombardier which was a decent drink, the other beer was Theakston Best.
The pub was very busy and lively on our Saturday afternoon visit.
i was quite happy having a drink in this pub.

Has reopened and has cask ale. Theakstons Best Bitter was on offer when I went which was a guest ale. Beer of good standard and very cheap-pub isn't tied which does help. Food will be served next month. Friendly pub, will visit again.

An end terrace, quite large pub, in white render with brick extension

The interior is open plan with a dart board and pool table in one area. The decor is white and like a mint green, i think, and the place is clean and tidy, though has a slightly bare feel. The service was really friendly, the clientele few, but mixed. The background music was more rock based and at an OK level. There was a TV, but this wasn't on.

Beer; all tap stuff, with a decent M&B MILD and Banks's MILD also on keg.

I didn't mind this place, it was friendly and although no real ale, it had two keg MILDs on. One of the best of a decidedly average lot.
