Alan Winfield left this review about The Olde House

The Olde House is a massive pub that is situated quite close to Newbolds small shopping area.
Once inside there is one very long room which runs almost the width of the pub,the right side was very busy because this is the child friendly area,i had a drink in the left side which was a lot larger and quieter, this area is on two levels, the lower level is quite large and to the front of the pub, there are more room to the rear left and far left.
The pub seemed very smart,it is carpeted throughout with mainly normal tables and chairs.
The pub in more that likely a Marstons house but not signed as such, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Banks's Sunbeam which was a very nice drink, the other beer was Pedigree.
There is a childrens play area to the outside right of the pub.
If you do take children here they are very strict about them staying in the right side of the pub,two small kids wandered through to the left side and the staff were straight out to find the parents and warn them about where the kids should be.
This is a pleasant enough pub to have drink in.
