Alan Winfield left this review about The Nags Head

The Nags Head looks pretty ordinary from the outside, its painted white,it also had its old Mansfield brewery type letters in the pubs name.
The main entrance is to the left side.
Once inside there is a small corridor and the main room is straight on,this room is the only one with a bar in it,the room is oblong shaped with a beamed ceiling and very comfortable bench seating, there are two small rooms to the right which is at the front of the pub,bot room had carpetes and beamed ceilings, one had a piano in it,there is another small room to the rear right.
The pub is an ex Mansfield house, now Marstons, there were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Banks's bitter which went down very well, the other bers were Marstons Old Empire,Wychwood Black Witch and Hobgoblin.
This is a really nice comfortable and cosy pub,the sort of pub i could settle in for a good session.
If you happen to be in the North Chesterfield area give this one a go,you wont be dissapointed.
