Has had a refurbishment under its new management and now sells cask ale from the Marston's stable. It's one large bright room with a couple of separate areas. There's also a decent sized beer garden at the back. Sadly the clientele left a lot to be desired last Saturday evening and my pint of Pedigree wasn't very well kept. I think we'll be going straight from The Greyhound to Mr Grundys next time.

This pub has been renamamed from The Garrick to The Thirst Scholar to now being The Mile, which is an odd name as with a number of pub closures there is no mile now. This one might be the next one to close once The Greyhound reopens and not forgetting Mr Grundy's is across the road.
