Oddly located, seemingly in the middle of light industrial estates. A lonely, dimly lit walk from the station.

Plenty of action at the dart board.

2 from Wye Valley and a not seen before Ossett Brewery Excelsior (chosen for the variety) in good condition.

Friendly pub in an industrial area with decent beers available. We enjoyed our Fixed Wheel No Brakes IPA and Beowulf Mercian Shine. Walls adorned with lots of joke placards, some really funny. Seating comfortable at the front of the bar with a separate area to the side where the dart board was, and goes round behind the bar area. They have done a good job with the garden at the rear with tables and chairs on false turf which looks very summery. Some tables under roofing as well. Quiet when we went in at opening time but the bar had lots of prepared baps so it must get busy at lunchtime.

Standard Black Country pub in industrial area, as below, no descript fixtures and fittings, but the four different ales makes this feel and is superior to what you may expect and what is on offer elsewhere.

Nice pub and with the effort on the beer seems popular and well supported.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Plough & Harrow

Spotted from a passing train with an 'I ought try that on the way back' appeal, so of course I did exactly that, and found a very pleasant local with an excellent community feel and unfussy semi-modern furniture / decor. Six real ales on handpump, from which I went for the Banks's Mild (£2.40), with HPA and Butty Bach from Wye Valley also noted amongst others.

Can't argue with what Delboy 20 said; it's totally different from the sad Marston's pub that I remember from years ago - I'd be the only customer at lunchtime. Around a dozen in today, good atmosphere & some nice ales. I'll be returning.

The Plough and Harrow has been taken over by Katy O'Ryans. It has had a complete makeover and now serves 4 real ales. A big improvement all round and well worth another visit Soupy !

A detached cream rendered elongated double-gabled cottage-styled pub, with white paintwork. It is rather plain except for the canopy that covers the front door and the bay windows. The pub is up for sale still.

The interior had a single bar room and a small snug at the back which seemed to now be a kids' den. The bar room was in white and black wood panel with a white ceiling and a fakey tile looking floor. There were no pictures on the walls, just one of the pub, so not even the few 1970s trophies could prevent it from looking a bit sorry for itself. There was no music, but this didn't matter as Jason and the Argonauts was on the TV. There was a dart board in one corner and we played to pass the time - well, i wanted to watch the film too be honest. The service was friendly enough, after all, we had just seen them in a neighbouring pub. There were no other clientele and it felt like it hadn't seen anyone for ages - indeed, the graffiti on the tables was in Latin.

Beer; well, all tap, no real ale. It has a decent enough keg Banks's MILD and Carling for £2 something, as the lady was keen to tell me.

This pub was closed as we first passed it - but was sadly open when we returned. One for the locals, or the daring.
