Clean, cosy and traditional Marstons boozer. Two rooms, ostensibly public and lounge but the only real difference is that the public bar (long) was refurbed in a lounge style 30 years back whilst the proper lounge (square) is a bit more swish, has a fake pillar fireplace and is the food (pub grub) zone. The divide is more prominent via the punters, with the oldsters in the old public bit and the younger, noisier ones in the lounge. A good range of five Marstons stable ales on, my Snecklifter was in good nick. Also Old Rosie cider available. A nice stop. 7.5

The King William 1V is in the main shopping area and it is a Marstons house but there are no signs outside saying this.
Once inside here the pub was smartish and had a nice proper pub feel to it,there were four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Batemans XXXB and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Pedigree, Jennings Cumberland and a Marstons seasonal beer that i car'nt remember.
I thought this was quite a nice pub to have a few drinks in.
