A typical Beefeater with a Premier Inn adjacent, mostly serving the nearby housing estate and business parks with factory-made meals. It wasn’t impressive. There is a car park which can be difficult to get into when the road is busy, and there is a small garden with seating. The pub is split into 2 main areas, a restaurant and a bar, both furnished with the standard Beefeater vinyl and veneer, 1970s copper lampshades, Artex walls and drab décor, although a central log fireplace added a degree of charm. The staff were particularly inefficient and indolent. The manager, who it transpired was in his last day there, was more interested in counting coffee cups than serving. A lady who seemed to be in charge but turned out to be a part-time barmaid was too busy bragging loudly about her new Mercedes to be bothered pouring a drink. None of the younger staff actually did anything. The food was highly uninspiring, and the muzak was depressing. There was a cash machine in the bar. The WiFi didn’t work properly. Two ales on, Doombar and Butcombe’s, both in quite good condition, although the manager admitted he didn’t drink beer so wasn’t that certain about them. OK for a quick pint if passing, but I couldn’t imagine wanting to lodge myself here for a whole evening.

This is a Beefeater, so more restaurant than pub.
Looks like a fairly new build and its role seems to be to support the Premier Inn next door.
It does have a small bar section but most of the available space is the Beefeater restaurant.
Usual chrome tap options, but there are two ale handpumps which were Buttcombe Bitter and St Austalls Tribute, and the Buttcombe was served very cold, but was drinkable when it had thawed out.
Won't leave a rating as this really is a resturant. You would need to be fairly desperate just to come here for a beer.
