The White Hart gets a mention in Camra's Regional Inventory for its "rear left room, largely unchanged since the rebuilding in 1937" and indeed this is a lovely room with fielded wood panelling and bay windows with original stained glass. It looks gorgeous, which makes it even more of a pity about the crap 21st century pop music. There are six hand pumps along the bar, but two of them are in a section that appears to be no longer in use, leaving a beer offering of Timothy Taylor Landlord, Marstons Pedigree and two seasonals from Marstons. I got a friendly welcome and the beer I had was in good condition, but too grapefruity for my taste. There's a real fire and all in all this is a very pleasant pub, to which I would have no objection to returning at some time.

Recently refurbished and now attracts the younger generation. Pedigree always seems to be on fine form
