Party of 12 early Saturday evening pre-booked. October 2014. This is a lovely country pub that tries to go the extra mile to ensure all have a good time. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming and are quick to have a laugh with you.
It is a fairly standard pub menu but there are a few little touches that make it a little different and there is a specials board normally with three more dishes. Prices are on the higher side but this is reflected in the quantity and quality of the food produced. The 12 of us all had varying meals and on the whole they were well complimented and most plates were empty. The only downside was a Gammon steak that had a little more fat than desired but almost everybody agreed that the food was excellent. Deserts didn't stay on the plate long at all and so you can appreciate how highly recommended this place is if you are in the area.

Friendly pub, Robinsons beer well kept cask ale. Food is good, made and cooked on the premises. Good service, nice country pub. Well worth a visit.
