Thuck Phat left this review about The Badger Inn

The Badger is an attractive whitewashed pub in the pretty village of Church Minshull.
It has clearly been recently refurbished and features contemporary tricks such as a large fireplace full of lit candles and low tables with sofas which you can't get out of but all this fits with the focus on food. There is a bar to the right where this can be avoided but if you stray into the lounge you're likely to be asked 'are you dining with us?'.
On early Saturday evening visit the answer to the above was clearly yes from most there and a large group tried to get a table at around 7 o'clock only to be told that they'd need to give it up within just over an hour.
We didn't try the food although the menu was less enticing than we'd expected.
Beers on were Black Sheep and Tatton Best and Blonde. The Blonde seemed to go down better and I didn't finish my pint of Best.
An attractive place for a quick bite and a pint but one to avoid if you're after a session.

Bucking Fastard left this review about The Badger Inn

In the centre of the attractive village,The Badger reopened after a long closure with an extensive makeover. However it retains a public bar to the right of the entrance and a lounge to the left which leads through to a large conservatory dining room to the rear. The flooring is in quarry tiles, there are a lot of exposed beams and traditional fireplaces have been retained. The lounge does feel gastro, and is popular with diners but squinting at the menu revealed quite a basic pub grub style to the dishes, and not as cordon bleu as the surroundings might imply.Best to book at busy times,a large unbooked party were squeezed in on the proviso they were done in an hour.
At the bar the three handpumps were drawing Black Sheep and two from Tatton,Blonde and Best .My Best was certainly not that, whether this is a poor brew or not well kept there was a tang as the pint went down, hardly an inducement for a second.
Not far from the Middlewich Arm of the Shropshire Union this pub will attract boater and walkers, but it's a bit too foodie for me.

Thoroughly renovated after being closed for some years. Looking forward to visiting again - the website sounds very promising.
