Formerly a hotel, and now a "pub with rooms", it is not clear what the distinction might be. Certainly it feels like a hotel bar, with modern wood everywhere, and leather bench seating around low tables. And bands such as Coldplay on the CD player, just that little bit too loud to ignore.
There are four hand pumps on the bar, one with Thatchers Cider, one vacant and the other two with local ales. One of these was Derby Pride and the other called Roar and brewed for the pub by Falstaff Brewery.
