E TA left this review about The Bull Inn

A small 18th Century roadside inn with 16th Century origins, largely bypassed by the traffic despite its propinquity to the main road and having an obvious, albeit overgrown, car park. That's not a bad thing, though, as it is largely unspoilt. The interior is much a Moby describes: there is a small public bar with an open fire at one end, and a carpeted saloon bar, conjoined, at the other. Exposed timbers and traditional décor give it an almost rural feel, while the welcome from the staff is genuinely pleasant. The traffic noise is obtrusive, however, enough to take the edge off the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. A jar of dog biscuits accompanies the four handpumps on the bar clipped with Pride, Tribute and Ringwood Best; the 4th was dry. The beer was in very good condition, particularly the Ringwood, which outshone the others. I'd be very happy to stop here again when passing as it's a lot better than most of the other roadside pubs in this area.

Moby Duck left this review about The Bull

The Bull Inn is a 16th century roadside pub,now stuck alongside a dual carrigeway on the busy A31, a long walk from most places it is understandably food led. Two roomed with low ceiling, oak beams, horse brasses and all the things you would expect in a country pub. 7 hand pumps between the two bars but just a mainstream choice of London Pride, Ringwood Best and St Austell Tribute, at least there was no Doombar to be seen, the Tribute was in good condition. Its Ok but I wouldn't go out of my way for beer alone.
