Graham Coombs left this review about Brown's

A former pub and nightclub, now converted into a sports bar featuring snooker and pool tables and "smart" dartboards. The large interior feels even more cavernous than it ought to due to the windows being blacked out to avoid distracting the players. The simple bar area in the centre has a few tedious mainstream kegs on offer. I can't see any point in visiting unless you wish to play games, but note that membership is required to use the tables/boards, as well as a time-based charge.

Old Boots left this review about The Abbey

One big room with constant music, lots of separate seating mainly at tables and chairs, there's a raised area opposite the counter. Beerwise there are three pulls with Pedigree, Doombar and a reversed Courage Best, a couple of T-Bars provide some national kegs and there are single founts for Coors light and Cobra. The decor is plain with the odd old photo plus the usual screens and machines. Unexciting probably sums this one up.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Goodridge

Uninspiring Smith & Jones outlet, similar to a Yates's in terms of food / drink offers and target audience. Large and dark 'L'-shaped bar with one raised seating area. Three real ales on handpump: Marstons Pale, Bombardier, and Morland Original (very keenly priced at £1.69).
