Town centre pub looks abit rough from the outside however after I entered and got through the wall of heat it seemed friendly enough, it was early sat afternoon , no real ale just JS and Tetley's. It's basically a big room with a few separated off areas . Quite a few solo drinkers so must be friendly enough, may change at night however and there is a certificate on the wall for staff who had undertaken conflict awareness training. It had tv's on silent and music was playing. Better than I thought it would be.

More Beer reports that this pub is now selling real ale.

Smart looking pub on the outside. On the external signage they say they sell traditional ale and guest beers which sounds promising. They're lying, they don't even have a handpump. It's a one roomer with dining tables & chairs throughout. Fairly nondescript decor and a quiz machine to the right of the door. It's all keg on the bar and I ended up having a half of Fosters. The inside is quite smart really but the clientele aren't. Lots of gobby lowlifes in one corner and several Job Centre rejects propping up the bar, several of whom needed a bath. At least it's still a proper pub which is worth a point in itself, especially in Oldham. However they lose that point for the lying signage.
