Hard to spot, as there’s no external signage (looks removed, for unknown reasons). Fairly blandly modernized local in a pretty village, though quite cosy inside. Main bar to the left - pub carpet, word panelling and embossed wallpaper, white and duck egg shades. Right side area similar though has a wine box wall and Northants skittles is available. A QEII street party going on outside. Three pumps, two on; a dull old pair of Doom Bar and Pride (so-so condition). It's ok overall but they really could aim higher at the bar – surely a jumbo streets party means a jumbo order of good beer to celebrate? 5.5

I visited this pub for the first time, and was impressed with the beer quality.
It also beer wise had local real ales such as Hoggleys, and is a gem of a pub.
