Hotel bar made up to make you pine for holidays in far off lands. And it does actually make you wish you were somewhere else. All South Sea Islandy with straw everywhere and nautical themes. Unless you're staying in the hotel there is no real need to be here to be honest.

Old Boots left this review about The Castaway at The Liner Hotel

Bar in a large, modernish hotel, it is done out like a desert island shack decorated from a shipwreck. The walls are a mix of planks and bamboo, the ceiling is sails and more bamboo, even the bar counter is faced with bamboo. There are bits of rope, a figurehead and portholes. The furniture continues the theme being mainly wicker chairs although there are a few leather sofas and armchairs. Several big screens and games machines provide the entertainment and the usual keg suspects provide the beers, there are also a large number of bottled beers to be had. Each table has a cocktail menu, a wine list and an advert for “Curry Night” which bizarrely is served all day, seven days a week.
