Bucking Fastard left this review about Swan at the Globe

Next door to the Globe Theatre,up some stairs guarded by bouncers to a lounge bar in a modern style with a wooden floor. It's very food orientated and waitresses in uniform are waiting to pounce,so you may have to drink vertically when it's busy. No real ale and the keg taps have the pubs own pump clips but are dispensing branded craft keg beers, which I though was a bit of a con.
Leave to the uninformed tourists.

Theatre bar attached to Shakespeare's Globe, but open to the public.Mainly geared to dining, but some craft keg beer available. I winced at the price of an Anspach and Hobday Summer Gold.Hazy and tasty, but too gassy for me.No real ale.Grand views over the Thames.

Beautiful long bar facing the river. No cask but who cares when they have Anspach and Hobday-cream ale on keg.Not for traditionalists.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Swan At The Globe

Much more of a restaurant than a bar, but you can sit at the counter or risk the table service operatives shooing you away if you try to get a seat at one of the front windows with their great views overlooking the Thames. There is also a small lounge area at the eastern end. All this is located up a flight of stairs in an elongated room which is dominated by two impressively large banquet tables. Otherwise, fairly modern furniture and decor. No real ale, but the keg Hepworths Conqueror Sussex Stout was an unusual and interesting choice (if eye-wateringly expensive at £4.20).

Roger Button left this review about Swan At The Globe

‘Twas an enchanting sunset over the silvery strip that poureth through London’s heart as one merrily strolled to the Globe with squire and merry maiden in tow. The journey was not without thirst and thus we trod the course to the Theatre’s neighbourly tavern. A measure of the Pride of London I seeketh from thoust wench and forsooth a measure I did receive however ‘twas not from the usual hand pulled receptical for none there were and this ale in thine cup was clearly notteth the real deal which for which a cross of nearly 4 guineas was exchanged, a sum considered quite vast between my band of fellow quaffellers. Alas the vista from within the tavern boundaries does leadeth to such expense coupled with the proximity of such fine entertainment. The listed tavern eatables doth also attract a princely sum, far beyond the means of the peasant wanderer and certainly insufficient for a man of girth to be sustained unless perchance one embraces the Brasserie in the upper gallery. The long boards and couches doth seem heavily populated by fellow travellers serviced by knaves and maidens dedecked in fine regalia and thoust struggled to secure comfort amid such a gathering. Alas, we bade farewell on the back of a solitary tankard with pockets deflated and setteth off for fresh hostelry.

Written with apologies to the Bard and his followers.

a bar next to the Globe Theatre. No real ale, that I remember, but I had had a few by the time I got there. Sells food all day. Wheelchair access. There is a brasserie upstairs and there is an outside seating area by the river.
