Alan Winfield left this review about Talbot Arms

The Talbot is a large estate type pub,the front entrance takes you into the lounge and the side entrance give access to both lounge and bar,the bar is to the right of the side entrance this room was quite big and had apool table in it the room was also full so i went in the lounge which was a very large room this was divided into two areas the area at the front was set aside for diners and the tables were laid out, this area was empty the area closer to the bar was for drinkers, the room was carpeted throughout and had normal tables and chairs plus bench seating.
There were three real ales on with different beers in each room,i asked for a drink of John Smiths cask but the landlord said it was off but he said he had Bradfield Farmers blonde in the bar when he started to pour it he then said this had ran out this left Black Sheep bitter which was on and this was a decent drink.
This is mainly a locals pub.
