Blackthorn _ left this review about Brunello Lounge

Yet another outpost of the ever expanding Loungers empire, this one occupies the site of a former unremarkable and quickly forgotten bar/club type venue but is nonetheless in a prominent position on the seafront which has been renovated and spruced up in recent years, and now has a wide piazza style pavement between it and the beach.

Internally it’s very much like any other Loungers bar with a wood strip floor, busy wallpaper in either heavy flock or floral designs and the walls liberally plastered with pictures including old portraits and reproduction oil paintings among others as well as a number of mirrors. In a nod to the locality there is a large mural behind the bar counter depicting a beach scene, Punch & Judy and the famous Weston donkeys, although it’s a shame that much of this has been obscured by shelving units. Lighting was a mixture of tasselled lampshades and exposed filament bulbs in large industrial style fittings whilst all the tables had been painted in various different colours. Seating it mostly tables and chairs although there were a few more relaxing arm chairs in the window to make the most of the views. We didn’t inspect the menu but from a quick glance it looked to be the same as in all their other outlets, and even the so called “specials” were clearly not created by the chef that day since they were identical to the specials that Mrs B. had spotted in their Clevedon outlet the previous day. Unfortunately being Weston many of the clientele were somewhat chavvy and included a couple of large single sex groups, one of whom was unable to make it to the loo in time before throwing up over the floor. And this was before 7:00pm on a Thursday!

Unfortunately there were no real ales on tap, just Bath Ales Dark Side and their own Cruisers American Pale Ale on keg. The solitary cider meanwhile was Stowford Press.
