A modern bar all done out in light grey. Huge, girly friendly windows add to the general light & airy feel. There's a restaurant area to the right as you enter with a larger bar area to the left. Lots of deep, comfy seating all around along with a few standard tables and chairs. There are some interesting things dotted around, such as cowbells, small statues and paintings. The restaurant was full during our early Thursday afternoon visit which was a bit of a surprise. The bar however was quiet. Three handpumps on the bar, all Thornbridge. We both had a White Swan, which was in good nick. It's pleasant enough in here, but I'd had enough of it after the one pint.

The Graze Inn is a modern looking bar that is painted in battleship grey.
Once inside the bar room is to the left, this is an oblong shaped room with the bar facing, there were a few red metal chairs and tables to the right,a few leather settes in the middle area and a long wood bech seat on the left side, there is a seperate restaurant up a step to the right.
There were four pumps on the bar with three in use,i had a drink of Thornbridge Wild Swan which was ok but nothing special, the other beers were Thornbridge Lord Marples and Thornbridge Brother Rabbit.
This seemed a pleasant enough bar to have drink in early dinnertime.

I was here on a busy Friday night, which is not a night I would usually go to a circuit bar like this - far too busy and noisy, both with very loud music and with people shouting at each other - not in anger, just conversation.

The pub is much the same as when it was Champs, except that the TV screens which used to show multiple sporting events have followed the brand down the road to its new location. The light grey paint is a nod to the gastro-pub ethic that Graze Inn's name implies, and to cap it all the lamp shades seem to have been fashioned from twigs.

There are four hand pumps on the bar, as far as I could make out through the crush. All the beers are from Thornbridge, my least favourite brewery - three on hand pump (Lord Marples, Brother Rabbit and White Swan) plus Jaipur on keg. I had a half of the Brother Rabbit, and this started off as very bland but developed a taste of grapefruit as I went further down the glass, ending with a quite revolting lemon flavour. Not my cup of tea at all.

The 2012 GBG lists this place as Champs Sports Bar and as you approach the modern entrance the doormen and smokers give you pause to consider the wisdom of your actions.Whatever mental image of a Sports Bar you may have ,I found this place to be a most positive surprise.Yes there are a lot of screens but the atmosphere was calm, and the presence of four handpumps reassuring with four very well kept Thornbridge ales, namely Kipling(£3.10),Brother Rabbitt,Lord Marples(£3) and White Swan on my trip. There are lots of keg beers and lager but a good number of the punters were drinking real ale.
The interior splits in two ,with the serving bar to the left of the entrance with room for vertical drinking, while to the right is a seating area which includes a small raised section.Beyond this there is a restaurant where you wait to be seated. Each area has many flat screens and the policy seems to be to air any televised sport from Sky Sports 1-4,ESPN , terrestial and freeview channels,so you may have to wander around to catch your particular sporting interest. The volume is sensibly low ,so that no one sport dominates and on my trip there was Six Nations Rugby,Premiership and Championship Football,Rugby League and Test Cricket highlights being shown.I didn't eat but the menu looked like wholesome, hearty pub grub and there were more screens to watch while you eat.Having said all that, there were a number of women enjoying the coverage so it's not "bloke only" and there seemed little need for doormen.
The highlight for me besides the ale,was the sporting memoribilia around the walls, signed shirts and cricket bats, trophies, photos from bygone ages and framed football programs including one from when Bradford Park Avenue were a Football League team,a definite collectors item.
It may be a little pricey on the beer front but there are many NUS promotions for students, and if you are a sports fan there is a lot of interest to justify staying well beyond a quick one.

Champs is a specialist 'Sports Bar' with a rather chaotic 2-bar arrangement and lots of televisions. As mentioned there is no ale but it is usually busy due to the ever-dwindling number of pubs that can afford to keep sky and setanta. I've watched rugby league here on a couple of occasions which was good but there's no real reason to stay once your chosen sporting event has finished.
