Steve C left this review about The Red Lion

This is a large John Barras pub with a horseshoe bar that splits the pub in two creating a large lounge type area that has a flat screen TV and quiet seating away from the bar by the window and a public bar that houses another flat screen TV and a pool table and dartboard. There is also a good size beer garden out the back and a car park that is run by the council, but the cost of the ticket is refunded at the bar with the first order.

There are three hand pumps, but two were off leaving Pride and a standard draught selection from which I had a passable pint of Guinness. Even though I visited at lunchtime I didn’t see anyone eating, but food is available and Wednesday (I think) is curry for a fiver day.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink here again, but it is handy for watching sport.
