Classic social club but in a well to do village just south of York, maybe a bit smaller than it’s brethren in West or South Yorkshire. An old building converted to the purpose there’s a pool table to the right, sitting room with two big screens to the left and the main bar ahead. The counter to the left has five pulls with beers from; Black Sheep, Ilkley, Empire and Ossett with a spare fifth pull. It’s GBG listed and the quality was well up to scratch. Recently decorated as far as I could see it’s typical for clubs. In spite of being a club there’s no entry procedures, so it’s one of three pubs in the village accessible by bus from York city centre.
